I finally finished watching Game of Thrones from Season 2 to 5 within a month. Aside my very comic reaction to the #RedWedding I didnt suffer much right to the end.

This is how I reacted to the #redwedding on #GameofThrones. Yes I am now catching up! Didn't know I was being filmed too

Unfortunately, I came across a spoiler on Mashable which revealed Jon Snow’s death. So i was pretty much prepared for that. But not the fact that he was stabbed horrifically by his own men and steward each murmuring ‘For The Watch’. TRAITORS!!!

But i don’t think Jon Snow is dead. I have been pretty accurate predicting some scenes even before they happened. Ask my boyfriend who says i have watched too many movies hence my accuracy. Crowd laughs! Here are my reasons why I think Jon Snow isn’t dead.

  1. He owes a fight with the Night King!

Did you see the look on the dudes face as Jon Snow shattered the spear of the White Walker warrior with the *checks for spelling* Valerian steel sword? And then killed him with it as well? The chief was shocked but of course that was hidden beneath his icy glaze. And then he challenges Jon by raising up the wildlings in his view. Game on! So they have to meet and fight one day!

2. Bran Stark might save him (maybe)

Bran Stark isn’t a warg for nothing. For all you know, he’s taken over the body of a giant eagle which will come pick up Jon before he ‘really’ dies.

3. George Martin really is a nice guy (no really).

I don’t know him from Adam but I think George Martin loves his twisty plots and killing people off really isn’t his thing. Not all the time, maybe.

4. Jon Snow didnt get enough sex scenes

He was a virgin until a beautiful wildling came his way. One whom he loves even as she is now with her ancestors. He has to meet another wild woman to rekindle his heart and passion which he refused to give to the Red Witch.

5. Why is Ned Stark being shown on the Iron throne

You would think that with Ned Stark being killed in Season 1, the figure on the Iron Throne would have been changed. Doesn’t that tell you that a Stark is going to be on that throne eventually? Jon would look magnificient on it. Arya is blind. Sansa talks too much. Bran is going to be a clairvoyant and his brother prefers to be an explorer. So there you go!

Season 6 is going to start with Jon Snow blinking his baby blue eyes slowly as he bleeds out. Shall we wait and see? There’s lots of buzz flying around too that he isn’t.

What do you think? Dead or not dead?

    • hahahaha!!
hmm i forgot about her! What would she stand to gain if she did. Meanwhile, did you notice they stabbed his stomach and not the heart? Remember how The Hound taught Arya how to stab? yep!
      Thanks Rodney!

  1. Well done Linda.
All I can say is "Valar Morghulli"… Valar Dohaeris!!!
Maybe all men indeed must die and all men must serve. Just think about it, Jon Snow actually may have served his time in GOT and now has to die.
He rose from a common bastard to the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. Then, he proved his worth to the wildlings by keeping his word and saving most of them from the White Walkers and then allowing them behind the wall… while at it he managed to kill one of the White Walkers and mind you that makes only two people who actually crushed the White Walkers into shinny bits of glass in all of GOT.
Jon may not sit on the iron throne as you mentioned, but he sure has achieved more than he ever imagined.
By the way, we may have spoilt it for the many friends who are yet to start season 5. But this not our fault. What exactly were they waiting for?!!!

  2. Let me be an insufferable know it all. I think Jon is dead but he might be revived as Azor Ahai. Wishful thinking maybe.
I agree with point one. Jon has a date with the Night King.

Bran is a Warg but so is Jon. He and Ghost his wolf connect a few times but Jon hasn’t used it much. Bran can’t save Jon but Melisandre the Red Witch can. She’s resurrected a few people so far. She run away from Stannis and arrived at Castle black just before Jon was stabbed. I’m hoping she resurrects him.
George RR Martin can’t keep killing all my favourite characters like that.

    • I must have missed where Jon connects with his wolf. Where did Ghost go anyway? Its like it disappeared when he was stabbed. Oh Season 6!

    • Eii Efo. When did you see Melissandre resurrect someone? It’s actually her pet peeve; that Thoros of Myr has resurrected Baeron Dondaerion several times (12 if I’m correct) and the Lord of light has chosen to give that drunk the ultimate gift, while she is forced to give birth to smoke monsters.

Book readers are wondering if R’hlor will finally give her the gift to resurrect Jon.

About Azor Ahai, the legend isn’t that Azor Ahai is born in fire but rather that his flaming sword is, after being driven into the heart of his most beloved person. Technically, Jon being Azor Ahai depends more on his lineage and would have required a willing sacrifice from Ygritte in order for him to fulfil his destiny. Unless we assume that Jon himself s the sword (as per the tenets of the nights watch), in which case, Ygritte loving him has probably fulfilled the prophecy and they can burn away (and I think I may have just sorta supported your theory! Still it would mean he has always been Azor Ahai reborn).

PS. I am going out into the morning sun now. I obviously need a life :$

  3. It’s great to come across a woman who enjoys GTO. I agree with you. The guy can’t die just like that. Point 2 and 4 is my favorite. Ha! Dude needs to chop more of that.
